ArtPost: a barn quilt experiment

A followup to the Barn Quilts post of a few weeks ago….

Inspired by the barn quilts I learned about at Barnquittrails.ca, I decided to make my own over the break last week.

I realized, while looking for my own quilt pattern to follow, that barn quilts are actually found in the States as well. I found a trail in Ohio (here), and there are individual quilts in New Mexico, though no formal trail has formed.

So I’m wondering why this art form is so spread out, especially as I had initially thought it was unique to Ontario!
